The Most Important Places to Declutter for a Safer Home

Not every area of the home presents the same level of risk. Some spaces deserve extra attention.

🚪Entryways

Keep shoes, bags, packages, and other objects away from the entrance and walking path.

🛋️Living Rooms

Arrange furniture so there is enough room to walk comfortably without squeezing between chairs or tables.

🍳Kitchens

Keep frequently used items within easy reach. Avoid storing heavy objects on high shelves where reaching or climbing may be necessary.

🛁Bathrooms

Keep floors dry and remove unnecessary items from around the toilet, shower, and sink. Make sure commonly used pathways remain clear.

🛏️Bedrooms

Keep the path from the bed to the bathroom or doorway free of obstacles. A nightlight can also make nighttime movement safer.
